During the course of the research issues will be identified and recorded on this site.

You are invited to contribute to the dialogue around these issues and help ensure that

  • the research is better informed and
  • the products that are developed on the basis of the research are sound and useful

Please note that

  • during the early stages of the Project the term 'ICT' will be assumed to include 'online' aspects
  • in later stages there will be greater a greater focus on 'online' aspects in particular

Current issues leading to key research questions for the Project:

  1. Is ICT a enabler or a driver?
  2. What are the common rationales for ICT in the primary classroom?
  3. What is the contribution of the school in the adoption of ICT in the classroom?
  4. What is significant about 'online learning' in the adoption of ICT?
  5. What is the interaction between the use of ICT and the operation of the class?
  6. What underlying pedagogy guides the choices made by the teacher: what is working and why?
