Placing ICT  in the class program

Sometimes learning about ICT

  • how to operate IT-based devices (computers, peripherals, applications...) and

  • how to apply IT to tasks and activities

is the focus of the class program.

At other times ICT supports the achievement of the focus of the class program by

  • enabling activities to be undertaken more easily and/or

  • enabling activities to be completed more safely, expeditiously, comprehensively... (more)

Purposes are fundamental

Thus one set of fundamental issues in relation to the placement of ICT in class programs relate to purposes of those involved in the program - teachers and students directly and others indirectly.
