PATRON

We are delighted that Severn Cullis-Suzuki has agreed to be the patron of Memorial: The silence of extinction.

ABOUT OUR PATRON
The welfare of the planet is at the core of all of Severn Cullis-Suzuki’s diverse interests. In 1992 at age 12 she travelled to Rio de Janeiro with three other very young Canadians to implore and challenge delegates to the first Earth Summit to think and act for future generations. Before this event took place she had founded the Environmental Children’s Organisation (ECO). Recently she served the United Nations as a member of Kofi Annan’s Special Advisory Panel for the Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development.

Notes from Canada’s young activities: A generation stands up for change is a recently published book that is co-edited by Severn.
